Despite it not being a Montego...that's a lot of car for the cash!!! Definite NP for rarity/condition if you ask me (which you did lol).

Even cooler that it has the 410 Marauder in it!

I'm surprised it has the Mercury Valve Covers though, my Montego being only 2 years newer has "Powered By Ford" Valve Covers...

I'd recommend looking for a Montego but...good luck.

Do try and find a 4 speed car, the 3 speed auto in the Montego makes for terrible highway speed rides....it goes into 3rd gear at about 40-45. Imagine how loud my car is at 75 LOL

yeah if I can stay away from AOD cars like my last CP I would be happy. 60K miles on this thing and it took a dump on itself. Was nice at speed though

Yeah. I have no overdrive on my old C4 so it doesn't know how to chill out at speed haha.

I never take it on the highway because of that actually. The thing drinks fuel when I'm in the throttle now that I put on the 4 barrel carb so highway RPMs I may as well just pour the gas on the ground...

I upgraded it to a 4 barrel and man does it drink fuel now lol. I think it may be running a tad rich tho, plan to do some tuning when my hands don't go numb in 10 minutes outside haha.

Have you heard how loud my car is now? I upgraded to true dual flowmaster super 44's with 2.5 inch pipes.

No I havent seen any vids of the car and mine has glass packs form the 80's that are rotting on my Torino also what CFM is your carb cause mine is a 750 x.x

Thank you! Advance Autoparts has great discounts, I ended up paying $130 for the 2 mufflers and my local shop put it on for 250.

Best money I've spent on it. I've had people ask me if it's a big block at car shows! haha! I love the mufflers and recommend them to everyone, they ARE LOUD though. Especially with my 3 speed a lot of times I'm stuck at a higher RPM because, well, that's the speed limit and I need another 5-10 mph for the shift lol. Sometimes I gun it up to a higher speed for a shift then coast down to speed. Hopefully a cop never sees me pull that move, then again he'd be pissed about the loud sound too...

Man I wish my car was in half as nice shape as that! looks great! If you do want a sound upgrade I spent a lot of time researching the right sound, finding 302's with super 44s vs super 40s, glasspacks, magnaflows, and these Super 44's just couldn't be beat. I think the pipe size increase helped too. I was at 2 inch piping, moved up to 2.5. It's stock manifolds too btw. Here's the link to the exact ones from advance, if you can't find a coupon code for them let me kno I always seem to have one!

They look like 2 or 2.25 inch. Just go out with a measuring tape and you'll have your answer lol.

They make the Super 44 in 2.25 inch, that way you can swap it right out, they have all different offsets, if you're running glasspacks now, they are probably straight through. so you will want a center in/center out like this one:

well in that case go with the 2.5 inch. That's what I did. It's a bit bigger, but you don't need aftermarket headers/manifolds for it.
